What are your hours?
Our clinics are open 24 hours a day/7 days a week for emergency care. Urgent care hours are: Mon.-Fri. (8AM-10PM), Sat. (8AM-8PM), and Sun. (9AM-5PM).
What information do I need to bring with me?
It is helpful if you can bring an up-to-date list of all medications and dosages you’re taking. If you have any allergic reactions to any medications, we need to know. If you don’t have a list, please try to bring your medication with you. If you have private insurance, please bring any insurance cards or information for filing claims.
Do you accept all insurance plans?
We accept most insurance plans. At the time of your visit, we will verify your insurance benefits and determine your insurance benefits to see if your emergency/condition is covered. Ultimately, every patient we work with has the responsibility to pay for services at the time they receive services.
How long will it take to be treated?
In most cases, you can expect to be seen, treated, and released in approximately one hour.
How long before I actually see the doctor?
Average wait time to be seen is approximately 20-30 minutes.
Do you treat infants and children?
Yes we do. E-Care Emergency Center is child-friendly. Our ER physicians have treated many children throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Our facility is well qualified to address any pediatric emergency or medical issue that arises, even with infants.
What happens if I need to be admitted to the hospital?
E-Care Emergency Center will call an ambulance and arrange transfer to an area hospital, making every effort to ease admittance to your hospital of choice. In most instances, we can work with the hospital to arrange direct admission.
Do you coordinate care with other physicians?
Yes. We are here for after-hours care and when your personal physician is unavailable. To ensure the best possible care, we will coordinate with your regular physician for any continuing care needs. Per your direction, we will communicate with your physician and send your records electronically, so that your personal medical files include information on your visit to E-Care Emergency Center.
What if I don’t have a primary care physician?
No problem; if further treatment is required, we will refer you to local physicians who can provide future ongoing medical care.
How can you treat patients so much faster than a hospital-based emergency room?
Our facility was designed to be highly efficient, and we have outfitted it with state-of-the-art equipment. Our on-site, full service laboratory can produce results within minutes. We have both X-ray equipment and a high-speed CT scanner. Our digital radiology suite also offers quick readings of X-rays/CT scans by board-certified radiologists. We also have the latest computer technology, which allows us to automate processes, minimize paperwork, generate electronic health records and file insurance claims electronically.
